WHO CAN REGISTER
Registrations for the IREB® CPRE Foundation and IREB® CPRE RE@Agile Primer certification exams do not require any prerequisites.

FOR THE IREB® EXAM
Attending a preparation course is recommended but not mandatory for taking any exam.
For each certification, IREB has created a syllabus that summarizes the knowledge required to pass the exam.
It is recommended to prepare on the syllabus topics, either by taking a course provided by an accredited trainer or through self-study, combined with exercises or supported by practical experience.
Regarding training courses, it is advisable to attend only exam preparation courses offered by IREB® accredited training providers.

OF THE IREB® EXAM
The IREB® CPRE exams at the Foundation, RE@Agile Primer, and Advanced Practitioner levels are all based on multiple-choice questions.
Each multiple-choice question includes a prompt and a list of suggested answers (options) and may offer different types of responses.
Questions are pre-selected by the examiner from the ITA-STQB question bank. To ensure the professionalism of the exams, all ITA-STQB exam questions are reviewed by international reference groups or are formulated by these expert groups.
The exam questionnaire is composed following IREB® international rules regarding:
- Proportional distribution of questions based on the chapters of the Syllabus,
- Distribution of questions among different types: Type A = single-choice, Type P = multiple-choice (two or more correct answers, with the number indicated in the question), Type K = true or false,
- Scoring assignments.
Points are allocated as follows:
- Full points for a question if the selected answer is “correct” in the case of single-choice answers (Type A),
- For multiple-choice answers (Types B and K), the points awarded are proportional to the percentage of correct answers provided,
- Zero points if multiple answers are selected making the choice unrecognizable or if no answer is provided.
The CPRE Foundation and Advanced Practitioner level exams consist of approximately 45 multiple-choice questions.
The CPRE RE@Agile Primer exam consists of 22 multiple-choice questions.
To pass the exam, a minimum score of 70% of the maximum possible score is required.

The exams are conducted online in a Live Remote Proctored format and consist of questions that can be in Italian or English (upon request at the time of registration)

The duration of the IREB® CPRE exam is:
- Foundation and Advanced Practitioner: 75 minutes (extended to 90 minutes for individuals taking the exam in a language other than their native language)
- RE@Agile Primer: 40 minutes (extended to 50 minutes for individuals taking the exam in a language other than their native language)

OF THE IREB® EXAM
To obtain an IREB® CPRE certificate, you must successfully pass the exam administered by ITA-STQB.
You will receive your certificate via email (in PDF format); the certificate includes, among other information: your name, the IREB® logo, the certificate identification number, the certification date, and the level you have achieved.
To make your certification visible, your name can be included, with your authorization, in the list of Certificates issued in Italy, and you can register your certificate in the international registry available on the IREB® website.
IREB® CPRE certificates are valid indefinitely.

Online certification exams can be scheduled independently after registration, following the procedures outlined in the Online Exam Guide.
The cost for all IREB® certification exams is €280.00 + VAT.
